Simple Seared Tuna Steak

Serves 4
Ingredients

  • 4 one inch thick Yellowfin Tuna Steaks 
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt to taste 
  • Course black pepper to taste 

For grill or pan seared: 

Get surface very hot. Brush fish with olive oil and coat in pepper, sprinkle in salt. Grill or pan sear for only 2- 2 1/2 mins. The center should be pink to personal preference. Pull off heat and allow to rest for 5-10 mins and ENJOY!

In addition to the recipe above, it’s really good to add garlic to your steaks, I use 100% garlic juice spray. It’s available at many grocery stores, or it you have a jar of garlic, you can brush on some of the juice from that, but pour it into a small bowl, so that you don’t cross contaminate your garlic. Discard what you don’t use, do not pour it back into the jar.
Also try a mixture of 1/3 cup of mayonnaise and 2 Tablespoons of Creole mustard. Just mix together and use as you would tartar sauce. It’s delicious…enjoy!! Andrea Guindon
